Is this still on? Not listed by my friendly neighborhood comix shop as coming out. Thanks.

I had the same question. I tried looking at the DC Comics site and they still claim it is being released Wednesday.

Has it been delayed? If so, till when? If not, I guess I need to scream at my local comic dealer -- well not actually scream, just suggest loudly!

Thanks
Steve

It's not currently on Diamond's shipping list for this week. See http://www.diamondcomics.com/shipping/expected_031203.txt

However, that may still change before Wednesday.

OK, now I'm confused. How come, when I go to the Diamond site and click on the 'shipping lists' link, I get a page called "expected_031203.txt", but you post a link to a slightly different page called "shipping_031203.txt"? Which is the more accurate?

Diamond has their lists up on the Net usually by the early afternoon, but they don't change the links on the main shipping page until later in the day. All you have to do is change the dates in the links to hunt for the new lists.

The Diamond "Shipping Next Week" list has all the veracity of your typical political press conference.

At least Diamond's list answers the question that was asked.

So, does anybody have any idea when it will appear? This month? Or will it go the way of the Superboy Archive?

It'll show, probably next week. Superboy was only announced, not solicited. When something is announced, read that as "we intend to do this project, the good lord willin' and the creek don't rise". When something is solicited, read that as "we've already spent a good deal of money and want to get some of that back".

Jeez, relax!
Half the volumes that come out are a week or more late.
Though I admit I'm as eager to see it as I can remember being for a Golden Age volume...

According to Bob, a minor glitch has delayed the release until 3/19/03.

This is supported by DC's latest Direct Channel e-mail, which tends to be more accurate for archives than the preliminary Diamond list. Direct Channel also lists the next Spirit Archives as shipping early on April 2.
